Features
Dynamic gravity compensation. Software adjustable features include axis calibration, damping value modification, limit force adjustment, gravity compensation direction, and grip type selection. Currently supported grips: FFBMASTER's own KA50-style universal grip, Thrustmaster F16 grip, MOZA F16 grip, VPC Apache grip (supports independent LED color configuration), VPC HAWK60 grip, and VPC KA50 grip. The collective motor axis can also be used alone without a grip attached (adding counterweight to the front is recommended when no grip is installed).
Compatibility
This device supports HID functionality (HID: allows direct binding of buttons and axes within games). It is plug-and-play on Windows systems and is compatible with the vast majority of flight simulation games that support custom button and axis assignments.
Package Contents
- Force Feedback Main Unit
- Function Controller Box
- Power Supply
- USB Cable, 5-pin Grip Connection Cable & Tool/Accessory Bag
Important Notes
- Safety & Calibration: As the force feedback collective's operation is partially software-controlled and the built-in software needs to detect the grip's state, for safety and accurate data detection, you MUST first securely mount the force feedback collective base to a stable stand or other solid surface BEFORE powering it on and connecting the USB cable.
-
Configuration Software: You MUST use the official FFBMASTER app to configure the collective base and grip. Do not use other third-party software or the Windows built-in game controller calibration utility. (The vpc-test software is recommended for viewing button and axis data.)
Hardware Installation Steps
- Mount the Base: Secure the main unit to your own stand using two countersunk M8 screws. Alternatively, first mount it to the included 4080 European Standard aluminum profile, then secure the profile to another stand or desk clamp using the provided corner brackets.
- Install the Grip: Attach the grip to the front of the fixed collective base. Tighten the grip's nut clockwise onto the M36×2.0 threaded stud at the front of the base's cylindrical body. (Note: Before tightening the large nut, use the provided L-shaped hex key to loosen the clamping screw on the side of the nut.) Then connect the grip
cable to the control box.
* For FFBMASTER's own grips: Simply pass the integrated 5-pin cable through the aluminum cylinder and plug it directly into the control box.
* For other compatible grips: First connect to the included adapter cable, then connect to the controlbox.
- Connect Power & Computer: Ensure the collective base is firmly mounted, the grip is hanging naturally, and no external force is applied to it. First, connect the 24V power supply. Then, use the included Type-C USB cable to connect the control box to a rear USB port on your computer.

- Configure Parameters (Axis calibration using VPC-Test software is recommended):
* Axis 1 (X): Motor Axis (Collective Lever Axis)
* Axis 2 (Y): Control Box Reserved Expansion Axis (Can be ignored if no expansion device is connected)
* Axis 3 (Z): Concealed Gear Axis on the left side of the FFBMASTER KA50 grip
* Axis 4 (RX): Mini-Stick Horizontal Axis on the FFBMASTER KA50 grip (or VPC Apache grip)
* Axis 5 (RY): Mini-Stick Vertical Axis on the FFBMASTER KA50 grip (or VPC Apache grip)
* Axis 6 (RZ): Rotary Axis on the left side of the FFBMASTER KA50 grip
* Gravity Compensation Setting Suggestion: Start with a low value and gradually increase it. Adjust in conjunction with the damping parameter until the handling feels right. A good test is that the grip should remain stable and not drift after being pulled to a certain angle and released
- Start Using: Launch your game, bind the axes and buttons within the game, and begin using your device.
